Stussy on StockX - our favorites

Nike and Stussy released another joint collection on February 14th. Including the four sneakers: Stussy Nike Air Max Penny 2 Fossil , Penny 2 Rattan , Vivid Green and the Penny 2 Black . Of course we also reported on the Stussy Nike Spring 2023 Apparel Collection , you can take a look at it again. Long Story Short: Currently the demand for Stussy is extremely high. Not only the Nike stuff, but also the 8-ball pieces and the Sherpa jackets are in great demand. So we wanted to check out Stussy on StockX. We have selected our favorite pieces for you.

We're surprised that Stussy's 8-Ball Pieces are so popular again. Although Stussy's 8-Ball has been around for ages, the graphic received super rad acclaim on TikTok last November. Since then, the parts have been going away super fast. With the Spring 2023 collection, new pieces with the 8-ball should come again and we were sure: the jacket will be sold out immediately. And so it was. The Beach Shell Jacket was sold out after 15 minutes. The hype probably started with the Sherpa Reversible Jackets from the Winter 2022 collection. The fleece jacket, which actually costs just under 220 euros, is now being traded for 400 to 500 euros ++. By the way, there are now some imitations on websites like Etsy. It's kinda funny, but we'd rather search for Stussy on StockX.

THE STORY OF STUSSY

Stussy is of course a super well-known brand. In fact, we all know them. But maybe there are some TikTok fans who don't know that much about the brand yet. That's why we explain it to you. Stussy emerged in the late 80's and early 90's in the Southern California surf scene. Pretty quickly, they redefined the ideology of casual wear.

Stussy is a label that developed organically from the youth movements and revolutionized the fashion scene without planning. Shawn Stussy, the founder, was a surfer who built his own surfboards for friends in California. Shawn began designing t-shirts and shorts that he sold with the surfboards to promote himself. Starting in California, he quickly started selling in New York and eventually on his travels around the world. Stussy's approach appealed to a worldwide network of creative youth who shared a common interest in surf culture, skating and music. And the limited supply quickly created a great demand for the brand.

The international fans later became the "International Stüssy Tribe" with branches in New York, Tokyo, London, Berlin and Los Angeles. With a strong network that carried the brand in clubs and on the scene, the Stussy message spread super organically. The brand has set itself the task of producing relevant, high-quality apparel at a good price. The parts were only available in limited quantities in selected shops worldwide. That was a completely new concept at the time, which has since been used by almost all streetwear brands with varying degrees of success. Today, Stussy is an old hand on the market, but demand remains stable and continues to find new fans. Of course, this is also reflected in the Stussy articles on StockX .

Of course, our favorites include a lot of well-known things. Especially the Stussy x Nike stuff and also pieces from the 8-Ball collection. And of course one or the other sneaker. Our favorite is clearly the Air Force 1 Fossil from 2020 and one of the Air Max Penny 2 . Of course, the "The Wide World Tribe T-Shirt" should not be missing from our selection.
