The new NikeSKIMS Air Rift marks another milestone for SKIMS - and shows once again how much Kim Kardashian's brand captures the zeitgeist.

In recent years, it almost seemed as if everything revolved around SKIMS: Collaborations with the NBA, countless A-list celebrities and a presence that is hard to imagine modern fashion without. The addition of Nike as a partner was the most important step to date. The first joint performance collection sold out in no time at all - and since Kardashian's hints at the end of last year at the latest, it was clear: footwear is only a matter of time.

The new NikeSkims Air Rift silhouette

With the NikeSKIMS Air Rift Mesh, that moment has now arrived. The choice of silhouette is anything but random. The Air Rift has always stood for the balance between sporty function and avant-garde aesthetics and is considered one of the most feminine models in the Nike archive. This is exactly where SKIMS comes in - but not with simple color updates. Instead, the Air Rift has been given a new, seamless mesh construction that makes the shoe look even cleaner and more modern. The design is complemented by a softly padded, clearly pronounced heel counter that combines comfort and support.

The co-branding is deliberately kept present: NikeSKIMS lettering on the strap makes the collaboration immediately recognizable. The colors remain true to the joint design language and rely on flooded neutrals - dark tan (IO7694-201), black (IO7694-001) and a deep brown (IO7694-200) define the look and fit seamlessly into the minimalist SKIMS world. The whole thing is rounded off by special packaging including a drawstring bag, which underlines the premium claim of the collaboration.
