Many people don't even know that the Reebok Pump Fury is celebrating its 20th birthday this year. This is also the reason why we are being plastered with so many collabos in 2014, which is not meant in a negative way at all. 20 years - that's a house number that needs to be celebrated, and at the latest since my visit to Fulda, I know how Reebok does it! ;-)The Reebok Pump Fury "Cattleya" is the result of a collaboration with Taiwanese sneaker store Invincible and was released at the end of last month. The shoe itself shines with a pink floral pattern, which is additionally equipped with dark ( inflatable ) overlays. The pink accents can also be found on the heel, the midsole and the lining. The lining in particular requires special attention, because it's not made of fabric as usual, but of real leather - believe me, friends, it's a damn good feeling on the foot, which I've never experienced before. I'm celebrating this brutally, believe me! In addition, there are a few small details made of 3M material on the heel strap and the toebox, which I personally didn't need, but which don't bother me either. as described in my first article on the Pump Fury, I had to "feel my way around" the model very slowly. I can understand if people don't like the Pump Fury, because after all, it really is a special shoe that certainly doesn't go with every outfit. I suspect that the split sole is the problem for many of you, because at least that's how it was for me at first, but I'm still getting more and more hooked on this model and I'm really getting a taste for it! I can hardly wait for the upcoming collabo with Concepts (at the end of the month). We're in for an absolute slab of a shoe with an upper that the sneaker world has never seen before. Personally, I can't think of a comparable shoe at the moment...can you? Anyway, if you're still unsure about the Pump Fury, take a look at the pictures I took today. The "Cattleya" in particular comes across really well, even better than the OG colorway, which I also own, and I'm a real fanboy of this collabo, I have to admit that. But it doesn't matter, because I think of sneakers like food. You have to try everything to find out what you really like - and I do, you can be sure of that! :)
