A visit to the Nike iD Studio in Berlin #prestoiD

Attentive followers of my social media channels, especially Snapchat, will have noticed that I've been traveling a lot in the last few days. My journey took me from Krefeld to Düsseldorf, via Hamburg to Cologne and from there straight to our capital city Berlin, but luckily I've now arrived back home and can put my feet up for a while. Flying has really taken its toll on me and now I have to "lick my wounds" and relax a bit.The journey to Hamburg started for me on Sunday afternoon. I've been working on a small project with the eBay auction platform for a few weeks now, which wants to make a mess or two in the sneaker sector. It's a really exciting project, which I'll be happy to report on in more detail elsewhere, and I took a detour from Hamburg via Düsseldorf to the neighboring city of Cologne, where my colleague sneakerb0b kindly took me in for the night. Bobby and I got an invitation to the Nike iD Studio last week to personalize our own Presto. So we decided to travel to Berlin together and our flight left relatively early on Tuesday morning. So after our arrival in Berlin, we first went for a delicious breakfast and then went to the Nikestore at Tauentzienstraße 9-12 to personalize our own Nike Air Presto. the various options for personalizing the Nike Air Presto had already been activated since last weekend. Unfortunately, I've only had a little time to get to grips with the options so far, so I was still relatively new to this and still had to get to grips with the various materials and options.

I know "the process" at Nike iD from other models, but there are always slightly different options for each new sneaker that is released for personalization. So I had to explore them first, which fortunately went relatively quickly.As I've already bought one or two of the more inconspicuous Presto models this year (for example the black Nike Air Presto BR and the grey colorway from the Tech Pack ), I opted for a strikingly colorful material for my self-designed Nike Air Presto iD: the gradient poly fleece.[caption id="attachment_41181" align="aligncenter" width="1100"] Nike Air Presto iD Poly Fleece with color gradient[/caption][caption id="attachment_41180" align="aligncenter" width="1100"] Nike Air Presto iD Poly Fleece with color gradient[/caption]My final design of the Nike Air Presto iD runs under the working title "Hawaiian Sundowner" and was inspired by the sunset in Hawaii.To match my chosen theme, I opted for the color gradient "Tour Yellow/Gym Red". Simply because this was the version that best suited my theme. I should perhaps have designed the sole, the cage and the mudguard in one of the two colors, but I and my colleagues liked the bright white much better. More yellow or red was a bit too much of a good thing. After we had finished our design, we went out for a bite to eat with our colleagues from Nike. Well, a "snack" is perhaps a bit of an understatement for a 40cm pizza, but for me the portion was just right after all the exertions of the last few days, and at the end we were allowed to make a little detour to the new Nike office. I always find it very interesting to take a look behind the scenes and see what everyday life is like at the brands. Of course there was still a bit of chaos here and there, but I could make myself comfortable in such a nice office, and for me personally the trip to Berlin was definitely worth it. Not only because of the opportunity to design my own sneaker, but also to refresh old contacts and acquaintances.
