Summer is here and we at Team Dead Stock are always interested in finding new models and above all: rocking them too. We are at the source and are allowed to look for new sneakers all the time. Recently, the adidas Stan Smith Mules caught our eye. Once again, they came to all the shops without much fanfare. It was love at first sight for us girls at Dead Stock. THE ADIDAS STAN SMITH AND ITS MANY FACES

Originally designed as a tennis shoe, the Stan Smith was developed by adidas in 1964 in collaboration with French tennis player Robert Haillet. After Haillet retired, the shoe was named after tennis star Stan Smith. Since then, the Stan Smith has been a popular sneaker that is used far beyond the tennis court. In the '90s he was discovered by the hip-hop world and celebrated in films. Although adidas stopped production of the shoe in 2012, the 2014 comeback was a huge success. Celebrities like Kanye West and Ellen DeGeneres have been spotted with personalized pairs, and Gisele Bundchen even posed nude in Vogue with a pair of Stan Smith on her feet. Since then, the shoe has not only been sold in sneaker shops, but also in prestigious stores such as Barneys in New York.

We can confirm: the Adifom technology and the insoles are extremely comfortable. We really don't want to take the shoe off anymore. Our conclusion: top silhouette for summer and autumn. The mules give us that absolute Bottega Veneta Puddle boot vibe under long pants. For 65 euros. We love 'em.

We couldn't really decide on one color because they're all bangers. @tschoeana also got the green adidas Stan Smith Mule straight away. @christopher was also allowed to be in the photo and is wearing an adidas Samba Vegan, Levi's jeans and an oversized shirt by Zara.
