The Dunk began its success story on the basketball court. The design caused a stir when it appeared in a series of color-coordinated products for high-level universities in the USA in 1985. But the Dunk eventually set out to conquer the entire world and the design developed a momentum of its own.

The colorway of this version with a white base and eye-catching accents in a beautiful purple hue is reminiscent of the Dunks that were released exclusively in Japan in 1999. In this new edition, however, the laces and the lining on the shoe collar and tongue are made of satin and, together with the transparent outsole, provide a new style.
