Like many other models from New Balance, the 860V2 led a rather reserved existence for a long time, until a series of collaborations, including Aimé Leon Dore and soon Comme des Garçons, brought it back into the spotlight. The 860V2 exudes the same fashionable "dad shoe" vibe as its 2002R and 1906R counterparts. Originally introduced in 2011 as the second version of a new running collection, it fell into obscurity as the collection grew considerably to the 860V13, until the current aesthetic brought it back into focus.

New Balance is now launching three new colorways: Optic White, Grey Purple and Grey Blue. All three colors come with a base of grey tones. Whereby the Optic White comes with significantly more white parts. Accents are set in black and gray. The Grey Purple and the Grey Blue have also already been listed.
