A few months ago, Nike launched the Athletic Department range, which is intended to pay homage to college sports. In America, college sports play an important role and are extremely popular. Here in Europe, the enthusiasm has yet to be awakened. Nevertheless, we don't want to complain that Nike provides us with simple, yet good colorways. Because that's exactly the principle behind the Athletic Department range. Next up will be a new Nike Air Max.

In its colorway, the Nike Air Max 1 Athletic Department differs significantly from its Dunk Low and Air Force 1 pedants. While the latter two favored bright, bold reds, this pair relies on more subtle yellows that only appear along the outsole, branding and eyelets. The rest of the shoe is made up of mostly neutral fixtures: black suede and leather are layered over the mudguard and Swoosh, while gray and white panels alternate on the rest of the upper.

When can you buy the Air Max 1 Athletic Department?

The AM1 Athletic Department will hit our virtual shelves on June 27, 2023. Of course, as we know it from Nike releases, the shoe will be launched at 9:00 am.
