Weekly Rotation Pt. XI - The Hypebeast Edition
Gosh guys, what's been going on in the last few weeks? So many blatant releases that I - probably like many of you - have been splashing out on, so I thought I'd just put a few of my recent purchases into a week. The result was more or less terrifying for me ( financially :D ), but somehow also good, because it shows you what's been happening in the sneaker world recently, and to be honest, I didn't even get everything I wanted. The new Multicolour Flyknit Racer, for example, slipped through my fingers. No matter, you can't always have everything. I think you'd better get used to the idea in the near future anyway. It saves you a lot of trouble and bad moods! :)Have fun with the Weekly Rotation Part XI. :)Monday: Ronnie Fieg x Diamond x ASICS Tiger Gel Saga "Tiffany "The first pictures of the collabo didn't really convince me. I always have a bit of a problem with black midsoles and the KITH filters did the rest. As a Saga fan, I still wanted to take a look at the sneaker "live" and went for it. It was a good decision, because it looks really good unfiltered. Great materials, great details and a beautiful color. Now if only there was a white midsole... Tuesday: Nike Air Presto "Lightning" RetroMy second Presto. Somehow I must have a soft spot for lightning bolts, because the Lightning is my second shoe with this kind of embellishment after the ZX Flux. It's funny somehow, but I just like it. Admittedly, it looks a bit strange from above, but otherwise it cuts a really good figure on the foot. I'm a little worried about the upper and the small mudguard on the toe. I wonder how long that will last... Wednesday: Nike Sock Dart Independence Day RedNow I've wanted a Sock Dart for sooo long and suddenly I own three pairs. So apparently that's how it can work. However, I'm not entirely happy with the sneaker. In this weather, the Sock Dart is one of the best things you can wear, but the shape in the official pictures is much better than in real life. You can see almost every bone in the foot, and I think that's one of the reasons why many people want to get rid of them as quickly as possible. Thursday: adidas Originals Yeezy 350 BoostHaha, honestly I didn't expect to get a Yeezy 350 Boost at all. I'm still of the opinion that it was a complete coincidence on that Saturday morning. But anyway, I like the shoe and I'm going to keep it. Even if they are perhaps a little too short for me (I ordered a US11 because I heard they run larger). Let others make a quick mark and sell them on. I'm out of there... Friday: Nike Sock Dart Independence Day White...and here's also the white Sock Dart from the Independence Day Pack. The white CW was my favorite from the start. But now that I've worn both, I like the red colorway a little better. Knowing me, the good piece won't stay white for long anyway. But I'm already used to that, it's no different with my other white sneakers. Saturday: Nike Air Footscape Woven MagistaThe Footscape Woven Magista is a real UFO and absolutely not a shoe that you just see on the street. Especially not here in my beautiful Krefeld. In terms of comfort, there's hardly anything better from Nike than the Footscape sole and the upper hugs the foot perfectly. In the current temperatures, however, they are no longer my first choice, as the elastic at the ankle leaves the foot little room to breathe. Sunday: Y-3 Yohji BoostI've had the Y-3 Yohji Boost on my list for a while. I had to return one pair because they just didn't fit. Now I finally have my US 11.5 and the size is a bit tight again. Annoying, but I think I'll keep them as they still fit. After all, I only paid a little money for the Y-3 Yohji Boost, so it's fine. I hope you enjoyed last week. Admittedly, there were a lot of hyped sneakers, but you have to wear them at some point. If you fancy a feature, please get in touch....we have enough space for your pictures and texts! :)You can find the first ten issues of the Weekly Rotation here.
