Images of the new Wale x Villa ASICS Tiger Gel Lyte III collabo have surfaced this week at Sneakernews. The sneaker has been given the name Intercontinental Champion and was inspired by those pompous Championshop belts of professional wrestling.The Gel Lyte III Bottle Rocket was a huge success last year, so it was actually clear that this collaboration would also be continued at some point. Personally, I like the Bottle Rocket much better than this golden thing here, even though I think the idea behind the collaboration is actually quite funny. Gold on sneakers is always a difficult thing, especially since almost all WMNS sneakers with metallic colors have been released in recent years, and since ASICS Tiger is releasing comparatively few collabos this year, the Wale x Villa ASICS Tiger Gel Lyte III Intercontinental Champion will probably still sell like hot cakes. I dare to doubt whether the sneaker will also be released here.
