On the road with the new adidas F/1.3 PK

Last week I was with my boys sneakerb0b, sixnine and the lovely Alina in Cologne to photograph the two new adidas F/1.3 and F/1.4 PK. I chose the adidas F/1.3 for my shoot because I've had a great interest in the boots since the first drop. Two models were released about two weeks ago: The F/1.3 as a typical low-cut silhouette and the F/1.4, which in my eyes is a real option for the upcoming winter.Some of you had expressed quiet doubts about the winter suitability of the adidas F/1.3 PK boot before the release. We haven't had any snow in Germany so far this year, so I don't have a practical test for you today. However, if you take a look at the features of the F/1.3, you'll quickly realize that adidas has done everything it can to keep you and your feet dry through the winter with this winter boot. Of course, the Primeknit upper makes you wonder at first. But I, and I think many people agree with me, also associate the Primeknit material with airy summer sneakers à la NMD and Ultra Boost and not with a winterized boot.For the adidas F/1.3 PK, adidas has come up with something special. To ensure that no cold or liquid penetrates the shoe, the adidas F/1.3 PK has been made wind and weatherproof with an insulating membrane and a fully durable overlay. My first impression confirmed this, because although there was no snow last week, it was terribly rainy in Cologne and therefore also quite damp and wet. Also worth mentioning is the heel cap, which has been fitted with extremely high-quality leather. The laces feature some accents with 3M materials, which should ensure safety on the road in the dark evening and night hours. I find the pull loops on the tongue and heel, which were inspired by original camera straps, particularly cool. All in all, it's definitely a pretty good shoe, but admittedly it needs to be combined correctly, so I chose an outfit for our shoot that is mainly dominated by the adidas brand. The track pants are from the latest adidas x Gosha Rubchinskiy collection and match perfectly with the gray accents on the laces and midsole of the adidas F/1.3. The adidas Originals SST jacket is from the current winter collection. What's special about it? The outer material of the SST jacket is transparent, revealing a glimpse of the jacket's down. It's kind of cool, because there are also some black feathers among the white down, which give the jacket a cool look. The patch hoodie is from the first Supreme drop of this year's winter collection and many of you will be familiar with it, but of course there's also something to say about the sizing of both models. I normally wear a US 11.5 with adidas, but the F/1.3 and the F/1.4 would also have fitted me in a US 11. I had no problems with the boot in a US 11.5, but I should have gone down half a size for the adidas F/1.4.There is good news regarding the availability of both models. Both the F/1.3 and the F/1.4 are still available in all sizes in the adidas online store. The model is unisex, i.e. available in sizes 36 - 48 2/3.

My conclusion?

If you've been following me and my blog for a while, you'll know that I generally have a bit of a hard time with boots or high-tops. With the adidas F/1.3 PK, however, things looked different right from the start, because somehow I immediately liked the shoe. My friend Bob also tried on the adidas F/1.3 PK and was surprised at how good the new model turned out. I definitely give the adidas F/1.3 PK a positive rating. If you have the opportunity to try on the adidas F/1.3 PK - DO IT! You won't be disappointed and here are the rest of the pictures from our shoot. I hope you like what we have put together.
