The Nike Air Max Sunder OG is coming back in fall 2024

After the release of the CDG x Air Max releases in 2022, some Nike Air Max Sunder OG colourways are finally coming. However, not until autumn 2024. Nike announced this in the SNKRS app. There they are showing a new live series for the new Nike release in their SNKRS showcase . From old Dunks, to ACG sneakers and retro releases to new but well-known Nike Air Max models, a lot is planned for next year. Our highlight is definitely the OG colourways of the Air Max Sunder. By the way, the silhouette is often spelled "SNDR". All information about the colourways and the releases can be found here in the article.

Most of you will still know that the CDG x SNDR collaboration was really expensive. We paid 315.00 euros for the release of the all-black colourway. Way too much if you ask us. But we have to admit: we love the silhouette and don't regret the purchase for a second. And yet we are especially looking forward to the OG re-release because the designs will certainly be a lot cheaper.

THIS IS WHAT THE SNEAKERS LOOK LIKE

In 1999, Nike introduced the Air Max Sunder - a completely new design. The silhouette is inspired by cross-training. The Sunder is characterized above all by a comfortable upper made of Lycra elastane and a secure heel closure system. With a full-length Phylon midsole and visible air bubbles, it was way ahead of its time. Despite the mega good features, the Air Max never got a real retro look. Thanks to Comme des Garçons Homme Plus' SS22 show, the design was brought back into the sneaker scene's consciousness in July 2021.

The cross trainer will return in its OG colourways: gold, neon yellow, black and pink. A member of the design team that worked on reviving the Air Max Sunder emphasized during the SNKRS showcase that a lot of attention was paid to detail to ensure the pair resembles those that first hit the market 24 years ago came. The SNDR will come in both classic and new colorways next year.

NIKE AIR MAX SUNDER RELEASE DATE

Unfortunately, we don't yet know exactly when the new Nike Air Max Sunder OG will drop. Currently it says: autumn 2024. We don't yet know whether this only refers to the release for the USA or whether it applies worldwide. We will keep you up to date and provide you with the releases as soon as there is official information. If the sneaker drops, it will definitely be in the Nike SNKRS app.
