Sneakers Event Amsterdam - Recap

On Sunday, the Sneakers Event took place for the first time in Amsterdam. Previously, the event had already taken place 8 times in France and I've often heard from people that there was always a lot going on. So I was naturally curious and wanted to see the spectacle for myself. Although I'll be back in Amsterdam in just under three weeks for the next convention, Amsterdam is always a good place to be. Unfortunately, the weather wasn't on our side, typical April, but that was quickly forgotten as soon as you were in the location: the Sneakers event took place in the Westergasfabriek. Very high ceilings and beautifully flooded with light. At the beginning the hall seemed quite empty. We arrived at the hall at around 11:30 and, surprisingly, there was no queue. Well, that's not necessarily a bad thing! This gave us the opportunity to look around and talk to people in peace. There was no rush, everyone was in a good mood and took time for you. A plus point! By the way, the GLIII 25th Anniversary posters from Need More are official posters that were released in collaboration with ASICS. This time designed by Ami aka Amilcar De Carvalho Fernandes from EGOTRIPS! Limited to 25 posters per illustration. So if you're still looking and didn't get the other illustrations that were available for the respective sneaker last year, or simply like them better, you should take a look at Need More! Yes, this is my shoe that I am holding in my hands :) Illustrated by none other than Bjoern von Schulz! It was also cool that Crep Protect had half a basketball court at the start, where you were allowed to shoot baskets. For every successful shot, there was a bottle of Crep Protect in an exclusive design that you wouldn't normally see. The bottles were printed with Bulls, Lakers and Celtics designs. At least those were the ones I got to see. They also look great as decoration :D As at almost every sneaker event, you could have your shoes shined here too. You couldn't miss the fact that you could get Crep Protect wipes at every corner, the sponsor definitely pulled out all the stops :)Good music, a pleasant atmosphere, lots and lots of Supreme stuff, beautiful sneakers, great outfits and lots of good conversations will definitely be remembered for a long time to come.
