Sean Wotherspoon adidas Gazelle - first look

Sean Wotherspoon has been pretty quiet for the past few months. Especially in relation to adidas. But then he posted on IG how he bought the Gucci adidas Gazelle in Hamburg. We should have guessed that the man himself had something in the pipeline again with adidas. Shortly after that he posted his Sean Wotherspoon adidas Gazelle on Instagram . We actually thought the adidas Samba would get all the attention this year. After there have been smaller collabs here and there and the silhouette is sold out almost everywhere. Maybe there will be something else, but now the focus seems to be on the Gazelle. Rightfully so, this is also one of adidas' best old silhouettes. We actually got hold of the Gucci Gazelle as well. Wotherspoon's design, like Gucci 's, is based on the original 1966 design and we love that.

THIS IS WHAT THE SNEAKER LOOKS LIKE

Wotherspoon's Gazelle, like most of his designs, is vegan. We think it's good. And what we are used to, of course: corduroy. What would a Sean design be without cord? The upper is completely made of off-white corduroy and is decorated with completely colorful prints. The sole is transparent over the upper, which means you can still see the print. The three stripes and the border of the laces are dark blue. The heel is red and has the Superearth logo on it. The insoles are made of cork and also bear the Superearth logo. Nice shoe, albeit very colourful. It's the first sample, let's see if the design changes anything. Wotherspoon has this to say about it: "Early samples just arrived and I'm hyped! Couple changes to make, gotta add the velor sock liner but I'm loving how the print on the corduroy and the clear sole turned out."
