Greetings from Hong Kong...

So, here I am, sitting in my hotel room in this bustling and stuffy city called Hong Kong, at what feels like 35 degrees and a "million" percent humidity, with a hell of a lot of sick people walking around and someone trying to sell you some kind of stuff on every corner. Fake Rolexes, tailor-made suits, more or less edible food from all sorts of countries .... - simply EVERYTHING you can imagine! Insane! But anyway, the people all treat me very kindly and I've really forgotten how comfortable I feel in Asia. 01:00 it's already here, because we're a few hours ahead of you due to the time difference. I went to a Japanese restaurant earlier, stuffed my stomach a bit and then went for a stroll through the streets in my new KangaROOS Runaway shoes, but somehow the jet lag kept me on my feet a bit. Luckily I packed my camera anyway. Maybe I'll even manage to take a photo of my new Reebok Ventilator, which I also have in my luggage, and the KangaROOS Runaway is only my second shoe from the shoe manufacturer from Pirmasens. I thought the collabs with Suppa, afew and Overkill were very cool, but somehow I still never bought one. In terms of materials, the Runaway is of course not such a blatant quality shoe as the "Made in Germany" collabos, but I still really like it. The shape fits, and there are also good little details like the little pocket in the tongue, the inner shoe (Huarache-like) and the Dynacoil cushioning. Now I need more crisp colorways, then the Runaway should be a really good thing! Hopefully KangaROOS will come up with something else, that would be real cream. By the way, I wear the same size in the KangaROOS Runaway as I do in the adidas ZX Flux. The US11.5 works really well and if you fancy grabbing another pair, you're sure to find them at SNIPES. Other alternatives are Asphaltgold or 43einhalb. I'm going to go to 7-Eleven and get myself something awesome to drink before I go to bed. Maybe something else too, let's see what else I can find...
