Nike Doernbecher Freestyle 2019 Collection

Nike Doernbecher Freestyle 2019 - we present you the collection. Nike has a long history of collaborating with various artists and designers to create unique shoes that are not only stylish, but also tell a story. One of these notable collaborations is the Nike Doernbecher Freestyle 2019 Collection. This collection of shoes was designed in collaboration with Doernbecher Children's Hospital to raise money for research and support for families affected by serious illnesses.

This year, Nike is once again presenting the Doernbecher Freestyle Collection. Since 2004, Nike has been giving kids from the OHSU Doernbecher Children's Hospital the chance to design their own sneaker. The proceeds from the sale of the collection will go to the Doernbecher Freestyle Initiative. A total of $24 million USD has already been raised for the foundation in recent years.

This year's kids cast is called "The Super Six" and has gone all out colorful on the following Nike and Jordan silhouettes: Nike Air Force 1, SB Zoom Janoski, React Element 55, Air Max Triax 96, Zoom Pegasus Turbo II and Air Jordan 14. The kids declare war on their illnesses such as type 1 diabetes, celiac disease, congenital heart defects, kidney cancer, brain tumors and Hodgkin's lymphoma and bring their inner ego (The Empath, The Beacon, The Speed Demon, The Heavy Hitter, The Daredevil and The Fighter) onto the shoe.

As in previous years, you can expect naïve, colourful designs that bring you closer to the kids' zest for life than ever before. Choosing a favorite is very difficult in view of the background story. Each shoe is unique in its very own way.

The release of the Nike Doernbecher Freestyle 2019 Collection is scheduled for December 7 on nike.com.

Freyja's design for the Nike Air Max Triax 96 is inspired by her love of sports. The shoe features a vibrant colour palette reminiscent of the sea, as well as a stylized logo of Freyja's athletics club.

Ethan is an avid golfer, and his design for the Nike Zoom Pegasus Turbo 2 is inspired by the sport. The shoe has a stylized golf course design and comes in a classic black and white colorway.
