Nike Air Max Corduroy Pack

Cord is celebrating a fashion revival. No material is currently more fashionable than the fabric that is actually reminiscent of your grandfather's closet. Whether it's pants, puffer jackets or sneakers - no item is immune to the cold-weather fabric, so it's only logical that Nike is also using the material and launching a Nike Air Max Corduroy Pack.

Corduroy is particularly popular as an upper material for sneakers, not least because of the Nike Air Max 1/97 SW by Sean Wotherspoon. However, since the collaboration between Sean Wotherspoon and Nike will not be continued and all hopes of a second Air Max 1/97 SW have thus been dashed, Nike continues to use corduroy and presents a successful alternative with the Nike Air Max 97 Corduroy Pack.

The Nike Air Max 97 Corduroy Pack will consist of two colorways of the classic Nike Air Max 97. The former concept of the Nike Air Max 1/97 SW is thus more or less continued without resorting to a hybrid again. Good news, in our opinion. Evil tongues could, however, speak of simply copying existing ideas here.

In order to defy the current weather and the dark seasons, a conscious decision was made to use summer colors for both corduroy versions of the Air Max 97. Both the "Light Blue" and the "Desert Sand" dominate with a harmonious composition of a color theme that perfectly underlines the individual panels of the 97. The color theme is continued in the midsole area so that there is no break between the upper and midsole. Both colorways are actually chosen in such a way that you only have to decide whether a pastel blue or pink should dominate, because all colors can be found in both sneakers.

The Nike Air Max 97 "Corduroy Pack" was released in Japan on November 30th. The global and European release is now set to take place in the course of December. We have not yet been able to find an exact release date. However, we will of course keep you up to date with all participating retailers. Stay tuned!
