The Nike Air Max 1 Sketch is, as the nickname suggests, a sketch brought to life from Tinker Hatfield's pen. The Nike Air Max 1 is not only considered a milestone in sportswear history, but was also the model that put the design legend on the map. Other classics followed later, such as the Air Jordan III and the Air Jordan XI. Tinker is a true master in his field, who is quite rightly given credit time and time again. The Nike Air Max 1 sketch comes in a white and red OG colorway, with inserts of grey intended to look like shades of pencil. To authentically represent the sketch, comments in Tinker Hatfield's handwriting have been added to the various elements, such as the sole, heel etc.. These also shine through the icy midsole. The red areas of the sneaker made of suede and mesh look like they have been drawn in with a felt-tip pen, and the attention to detail with which the Air Max 1 sketch has been implemented not only makes it round, but also ties in with the "Deconstruct style" that we also know from the collaborations with Off-White. Anyone who now thinks that this is just a copy is mistaken. The handwritten comments and the way in which the colors were used don't look like an imitation of a trend, but rather like a successful ode to Tinker Hatfield, and the Air Max 1 Sketch is set to be released on July 13, along with two other colorways.
