Cologne, Berlin, Cologne, Krefeld, Cologne That was pretty much my week, because tonight I was out with my buddy Mario to photograph some pieces from the new Nike Air Force 1 Apparel collection. The Nike Air Force 1 is celebrating its 35th anniversary this year. It's actually unbelievable that this silhouette has been with me my whole life without me ever really getting excited about it, but this year a lot is different: sneakers like the Air Force, chunky or chunky, are back in fashion and are celebrating a big revival in 2017. I have to admit that I was also caught up in the hype that Nike created around the Air Force 1's birthday. Collabos with Supreme, Off-White and other big names in the industry have had their effect. But that's not all, because Nike also brings many great models to the market in its releases. The Nike Air Force 1 Jewel and the Easter Pack, for example, were great models that many people initially missed out on. Another good example is the Air Force 1 Flax, which incidentally is also in my collection. I could certainly go on and on with this list, but in this post I'd rather focus on the apparel collection for the Nike Air Force 1.For our shoot, I chose the golden beige AF1 longsleeve and the matching AF1 men's joggers. I combined both pieces with the Supreme Polartec Crewneck and a coutie pant from last year. The bomber jacket is also from the current Air Force 1 Apparel collection and available in two colors. But since I already have enough black bomber jackets anyway, I opted for khaki this time, which is very autumnal. "Autumn" is also the right keyword, by the way, because the bomber jacket is certainly best suited to this time of year, and I'm a little annoyed that I didn't get the other colors for the longsleeve and the jogger pants. At least with the pants, a darker contrast wouldn't have gone amiss. Cargo khaki would have been a really good match in my eyes. It's not a problem to wear the same-colored pieces together, but I think that both pieces look even better in combination with other items of clothing.By the way, you have to be a bit careful with the size of the longsleeve. I always wear XL for tops, but the longsleeve is too long even for me. A L would probably have been fine, because even the description mentions a slightly wider fit, and as always with Nike, I took a size L for the jogger pants. The pants have a relatively tight cut, so M would certainly have been too small. The material of the pants is called French Terry Cotton and is printed with a large AF-1 logo on the right leg. All in all, it's definitely a good thing and, as I said, I'd like to have one or two more colors to start with, but for my shoes I stuck with the classic Nike Air Force 1 in All White. At the same time, we were able to get some good shots of my Air Force 1 Mid Custom that I picked up last week from the Snipes AF1 Customization Event. If you want an overview of the complete collection, it's best to head straight to the Nike online shop. In addition to the items presented here, you can also find the matching zip hoodies and shirts from the Air Force 1 Apparel collection, and if you have any questions about the collection, just get in touch with me personally. Otherwise, I hope you enjoy the rest of the pictures.
