Soooooo guys, here we are again. "Finally back at the computer", after a long vacation in Poland and a trip to the Laced Up in Munich, I'm sitting here in my hotel right now and will probably be heading to the airport soon so that I can finally start my journey home. I would have liked to have stayed here in Munich for a few more hours, but to be honest I don't really fancy the hassle of rebooking and the costs involved, it was my first time here at the Laced Up, and to be honest only my second time here in beautiful Munich. Of course I didn't see much of the city, but I think I was still able to get a small impression of it, and the trade fair itself was definitely really good. To be honest, I started my trip with relatively low expectations, simply because I was still so full from my trip from Poland to Krefeld. This is not meant to be derogatory at all, but simply to show that I didn't think much about the event beforehand, and there were some good bots to admire at the fair and lots of old and new acquaintances to meet. Stance was there, of course with lots of socks again. Plus the Upper Club and lots of other cool guys. I have to admit that I'm now less interested in the shoes at the trade fairs. I think I'm just too fed up with shoes now. I'm more interested in the people, some of whom you can only communicate with online because of the distance. It was really cool who I met there, and I was also able to put one or two "internet beefs" behind me. After the fair, I ended the evening with some of the "locals" at an Arab restaurant. I really enjoyed the place and I wonder if there's anything like it in my little town of Krefeld! I'll have to check it out somehow... All in all, my short trip to Munich was definitely worth it. The fair was great and packed with lots of nice people. Maybe I'll have the opportunity to come here more often in the future. I really like it here. Weissbier is my favorite anyway, and somehow I have the feeling that the people here are a bit more relaxed than in beautiful NRW. :DSLet's see, as the emperor would say.... :DVEnjoy the pictures!P.S.: Many thanks to the people at Stance Socks Germany, who made the trip possible for me in the first place! Also to Alex from Upper Club for the great organization, and of course to the people I was able to enjoy dinner with. It was great!
