Fragment Nike MIND 001: Futuristic slip-on shoe with fragment DNA
After the successful release of the Nike Mind 001 on January 8, Nike is already preparing the next phase of the official launch. The new black and blue version of the Fragment Nike MIND 001, which was presented by Hiroshi Fujiwara himself, is currently attracting a lot of attention. Inspired by neuroscientific concepts, the slip-on shoe deliberately moves away from classic performance silhouettes and instead focuses on an experimental, conceptual design.
The iconic double lightning bolt logo from Fragment Design is placed on both the toe cap and the insole. Compared to the first version, the instep area has been revised and now looks cleaner and more structured. Accents in striking royal blue run through the entire design, including the 22 knots on the sole and the graphics on the insole. These details ensure that the Fragment Nike MIND 001 clearly stands out from other Nike models.
Design, details and Fragment-typical accents
The Fragment Nike MIND 001 lives from its subtle but well thought-out design decisions. The combination of black upper and blue contrasts gives the slip-on shoe a cool, technical look. At the same time, the shoe remains extremely wearable and versatile. Fragment Design deliberately avoids bold branding and instead relies on targeted placements that connoisseurs will immediately recognize.
Release info and outlook on upcoming drops
In addition to the design, the technical lettering on the midsole in particular is causing a stir. The shoe is labeled as concept testing, including a reference to spring 2026. Whether this is just a sample or the start of a complete collaboration series is still unclear. What is clear, however, is that the Nike Mind 001 will be available again in the near future. In addition, the 001 and 002 models in black and crimson are expected to be released at the beginning of February. Fragment Design also remains present outside of this model, as three Air Jordan 1 collaborations with Union LA are planned for the current quarter.
