adidas Originals x Neighborhood Spring/Summer 2018 Collection

adidas Originals and the Japanese streetwear label Neighborhood are continuing their collaboration this year and now have an extensive Spring/Summer 2018 collection up their sleeves, which will consist of both sneakers and apparel.

The entire capsule collection was inspired by influences from the motorcycle scene, in which the creative mind behind Neighborhood Sinsuke Takizawa is actively involved. This, paired with the usual understated styles and a functional approach, results in a well-rounded story.

As previously mentioned, the range is divided into two parts: For the first time, the collaboration will produce more than one sneaker silhouette and so you'll end up with a choice between the adidas NMD R1, I-5923, Gazelle Super and Chop Shop. However, the style remains consistent. All four variants have been kept in black, typical of Neighborhood. Contrasting white accents and details were used. So there should be something for everyone: if you like it louder, go for the NMD R1 or Chop Shop - if you like monochrome looks, the Gazelle Super or I-5923 will do the trick.

I already had the chance to check out individual samples of the collabo last year and I have to admit that I was really taken with the Iniki Runner (I-5923). It's hard to get past this piece! But which silhouette is your favorite?

The second part of the Spring/Summer 2018 Collection is made up of a large apparel range. Consisting of various tops, pants and jackets, the theme has also been perfectly implemented here. We are particularly impressed by the bomber and the tech coat, but the rest also has a lot to offer. Overall, adidas has done a damn good and balanced job with its collabo partner!
