Kanye Omari West, better known as "Ye", is an American rapper, singer, music producer and fashion designer.

He began his career as a producer for hip-hop artists in Chicago, and later in New York City he played a key role in music productions for rapper Jay-Z, particularly on the successful album "The Blueprint". West also worked closely with the singer John Legend and the rapper Common, both signed to his record label GOOD Music. Since the end of 2003, he has been releasing his own singles and albums, mostly as a rapper and producer.

Kanye West is one of the most influential musicians of the 21st century in the hip-hop and pop music genre. His influence spans a variety of musical genres and he has played a crucial role in the commercial realignment of hip-hop from gangsta rap to more emotional and often vocal content. With more than 60 million records and downloads sold in the US alone, he is one of the world's most successful musicians. In 2005 and 2015, Time magazine named him one of the 100 most influential people in the world, both in music and fashion.

In addition to his music, West is famous for his Yeezy brand. With this, he has created some of the most coveted sneakers, first with Nike and later with adidas. Unfortunately, he is also known for controversial statements and appearances, including racist and anti-Semitic remarks. Due to these controversial statements, adidas has ended its legendary collaboration with Kanye West and Yeezy.
