The collaboration between hummel and Vitamalz was born out of a shared love of sport. Both heritage brands stand for cosmopolitan joie de vivre and have been active supporters of sport for many years. It was therefore a natural choice to collaborate on a sneaker with its origins in tennis, which will delight fans of both lifestyle brands.

The Power Play is an extremely popular hummel silhouette that was first seen on athletes at the world's major Grand Slam tournaments in the early 1980s.

During the design process, hummel took inspiration from the iconic Vitamalz logo as well as their beverage can when creating this particular Power Play, incorporating details such as the rainbow, the claim "The Original" and the pull tab of a can into the design. Even the outsole was color-coordinated with the color of the malt beverage. Combined with hummel's own Danish design DNA, the result is a timeless classic.

The soft leather comes from a renowned Italian tannery that has been awarded gold by the Leather Working Group and is certified with the Blue Angel for ecological quality.

In addition, eleven buyers have the chance to win a year's supply of Vitamalz! Eleven sneaker boxes will each contain a voucher for a year's supply of the malt drink. The year's supply corresponds to 12 crates of 24 x 0.33 liter returnable bottles.
