The Overkill x adidas Consortium ZX 8094 “The Missing Link” combines two of the most iconic adidas design aesthetics from the early 1990s. In collaboration with adidas Consortium, Overkill has developed a completely new silhouette for the “The Missing Link” pack, combining elements of the adidas ZX 8000 with the design language of the EQT Support 91.

The adidas ZX 8094 Overkill carries the style code KH7164 and will be released on September 26, 2026, initially exclusively at Overkill in Berlin and Cologne.

The adidas ZX 8094 is not a classic retro release, but a newly developed hybrid silhouette. It is based on the four-digit ZX family and draws inspiration from the ZX 8000 in areas such as its construction and the distinctive, stitched heel section. At the same time, the sneaker incorporates key elements of the EQT Support 91.

This connection is particularly evident in the TPU cage construction, the upper, and the choice of materials. As a result, the technical and organic forms of the ZX series meet the characteristic design language of the Equipment era. The name ZX 8094 alludes to precisely this connection: an alternative adidas silhouette that, in theory, could have been created as early as 1994.

The colorway also picks up on the “The Missing Link” concept. A understated base meets the signature EQT green, one of the most iconic colors of the Equipment era. The influence of the EQT Support 91 is particularly evident in the Three Stripes.

The Overkill x adidas ZX 8094 is rounded out by special OVERKILL branding on the heel, insole, tongue label, and Torsion element. Additionally, the sneaker comes with two extra pairs of laces as well as additional co-branded lace tags.

Together with the Overkill x adidas Consortium ZX 8000, the ZX 8094 forms “The Missing Link” pack. While the ZX 8000 reinterprets the classic silhouette with EQT elements, the ZX 8094 takes the opposite approach, developing a completely new form from familiar design building blocks.
