The future is now! With the Nike ISPA Road Warrior Clear Jade, Nike is launching a completely new model onto the market. In this article, we'll tell you where the spaced-out design was inspired from and what functional aspects the ''sneaker'' has.

The Road Warrior draws inspiration from Nike's innovations in a wide variety of areas: Basketball, training, running and outdoor apparel. In developing this shoe with great urban potential, the goal of harmonizing innovations as well as comfort, protection and durability was optimally implemented.

The Road Warrior was inspired by the groundbreaking design of the Nike Air Zoom Alphafly Next%, which broke the 2-hour mark in the marathon, and the energy return of the Nike Air Zoom BB NXT. The open, flexible heel area is reminiscent of the early Nike Shox prototypes, but instead of the classic boing-effect pillar design, it features double-stacked Zoom chambers and double sole plates.

Not wanting to compromise on stability, we reworked the traditional Japanese split-toe cage (commonly used in construction and road work shoes) for the Road Warrior. The result is a barefoot-like feel.

If you're really planning to buy the Nike ISPA Warrior Clear Jade, you should keep an eye on our overview. So far, it looks like it will be a very limited release. It's currently only listed in the Nike SNKRS app. We think it will only be available there. Be careful, the Nike SNKRS app is not the Nike online shop!
