This week, a new and almost certainly very popular colorway, the Nike Air Jordan 3 Animal Instinct, arrives in select stores.
The AJIII was the first contribution to Tinker Hatfield's Air Jordan shoe collection and with it, he took the animal print trend to a new level. The latest Animal Instinct edition of the AJIII gives this legacy a whole new look. There are prints of different animals and a faux fur upper texture. It's hard to tell where the savannah ends and the shoe begins. This edition also features a rubber underside rarely used on the AJIII.
With its debut in 1988, the original Air Jordan III changed the trajectory of Michael Jordan's legendary sneaker collection just in time for his breakthrough '88 season. Michael Jordan wore the exotic-print AJ III, featuring the first visible Air element, for his first MVP and Defensive Player of the Year honors. The season had some challenges in store.
