ASICS Gel Diablo OG White Black

The Gel Diablo OG colorway from ASICS Tiger. How long have we been waiting for this exact colorway of the model? Too long, that's for sure - I wrote my article about the Gel Diablo OG back in 2014. Back then, I bought the OG from KLEKT, along with three other vintage sneakers. A really lucky catch that I made for very little money, the retro ASICS Gel Diablo OG comes pretty damn close to the OG model. Only the shape is not 100% successful. However, when I look at the Diablo, I'm pretty sure that the slightly higher toebox will be worn down after a few days. Apart from that, the retro of the Asics Gel Diablo looks a hell of a lot like the OG. I've only been able to look at the retro in the pictures so far, but I haven't really noticed any significant difference. So let's hope that the pictures don't come from any samples, but from the original Gel Diablo. Anything else would be more than annoying.

HHV.de was already online and is now sold out. Tint has the Gel Diablo OG listed for August 12th in the coming soon section of their online store. So far there is no official information on the date, but I assume that it will actually be August 12, 2017.

Tint is the only store that has currently confirmed the release of the Gel Diablo. However, as we still have just under two weeks to go until the release date, I assume that a few more retailers will be added to this release overview during this period, so if you're interested in the model, simply click through this overview on the release day and choose the store of your choice. The release shouldn't be too hard to get hold of, because after all, many of today's sneakerheads don't even have ASICS on their radar anymore.
