ASICS Tiger x Bodega Gel Mai Underground

Next week sees the release of the new Gel Mai Underground from the collaboration between ASICS Tiger and the sneaker store Bodega.The renewed collaboration between the two partners is based on an interesting concept, which ASICS briefly introduces in the following lines:Bones connect all people in their past, present and future of their lives: we could not live without them and they are the last evidence of a person after death.The US sneaker store Bodega has taken the human skeleton as a model to create a distinctive Gel-Mai together with Asics. Built similarly to a skeleton, the Asics Gel Mai Underground embodies the two sides of life: movement and mortality and comes with a bone-colored upper, purple tiger stripes and orange laces. The brown suede on the toebox is a real eye-catcher, reminiscent of earth in keeping with the skeleton theme, and whether you like the result is of course up to you. I find the idea behind the collabo really interesting and like the Gel Mai in itself, but the shoe has become a little too wild for me.
