ASICS Tiger x Gel Lyte Patta

The first release of the retro Gel Lyte OG didn't sell out immediately, but they are now out of stock in almost every store. I had expected this in advance, because many collectors are simply waiting for another brand to break the dominance of adidas and Nike and launch new, exciting models.

With the Gel Lyte OG, ASICS Tiger has not launched a new model, but has revived a particularly interesting silhouette from the ASICS Tiger archive. It is therefore a logical consequence that ASICS Tiger has brought some interesting partners on board, with whom several successful models have already been launched on the market in the past.

The Amsterdam sneaker store Patta is certainly one of the most popular partners in the scene that ASICS has been able to bring on board. The result of the collaboration also reflects exactly the quality that we are used to from previous collaborations. Be it the Gel Saga from a few years ago or, most recently, the Gel Respector. Both models are still pretty popular today.

I think the release of the Gel Lyte from Patta is pretty brilliant. Perforated leather and a great nubuck? Packaged in a shoe? That can only go well!

The official release of the collabo will take place this week on Saturday, August 5th. Patta already released a week ago.
