Asics

Asics was founded in Japan in 1949 and is particularly well known for its running shoes. The brand name is an acronym made up of the Latin phrase "anima sana in corpore sano". This means "healthy soul in a healthy body" and describes Asics' philosophy. Before the sporting goods manufacturer appeared under this name, the brand was called Onitsuka Tiger. The Gel-Lyte III and Gel-Lyte V were the most popular styles for sneaker fans for a while; numerous collaborations with Ronnie Fieg, Atmos etc. have been made on them.
