With the 9060, New Balance launched a super good silhouette. The 9060 reinterprets elements from the classic 99X models with a warped sensibility. They are inspired by the proudly futuristic, visible tech aesthetic of the year 2000 era. Sway bars, carried over from the 990, are extended and used throughout the upper for a sense of visible movement. While wavy lines and scaled-down proportions atop a chunky midsole put an exaggerated emphasis on familiar cushioning platforms from ABZORB and SBS. The New Balance 9060 Mushroom is understated and consists entirely of neutral colors with the exception of light blue details. The leather accents elsewhere - like the N logo, heel tab, etc. - are instead finished in a light cream tone that matches the laces and complements the blue mesh panels.
