At first glance, the newly emerged pair resembles the high-top version of the ever-popular all-black Air Force 1. But a closer look reveals a handful of updates to Bruce Kilgore's original 1982 design.

First of all, the entire upper of the sneaker is made of tumbled leather, with suede and canvas used on the upper heel area and the closure strap around the ankle. The sports-inspired collar attachment of the shoe has been reworked with a "combat" aesthetic that features rugged hardware.

Underfoot, the sole units come in a color combination of 'Black' and 'Gum Red Brown', with both the midsole and outsole sporting a protective and more robust construction than normal. The profile and the length of the tread promise better grip in bad weather conditions.
