XBYO - new streetwear collection from adidas Originals

If you've been following the adidas brand here and there, you'll know that the Herzogenaurach-based company wants to focus more on real streetwear in the coming months. Next year, the brand new XBYO (x-by-o) collection for men and women will be presented, combining minimalist design, creativity and high-quality Japanese fabrics. adidas designers have once again rummaged through their own archives for this project, taking inspiration from the first "adidas Italia" clothing collection from 1959. Back then, the collection was characterized by the well-known cross motif, which is brought back into 2017 with the new XBYO collection.

In order to give the new collection the right cut, pattern designer Satomi Nakamura was brought on board. The aim of the collaboration was to give the sports collection a clear line and a minimalist design. A Japanese French Terry fabric manufactured by the company Yamao Textiles was chosen as the basis for the collection. The result is a no-frills collection of basics and essentials that perfectly matches my personal clothing style. The new collection really is made for me, as I'm the type of person who likes to dress in sweaters, long shirts and jogger pants.
