Moin Moin, I'm Kane Holz from Hamburg, aka Knuckel & have known Christopher personally for about a year. Deadstock and I have often been to the same events & maybe one or the other has even noticed that the photos for the Not Just Shoes, Sneakerness Amsterdam and the Afew Koi releases are mine. What would be more fitting than to present my "Weekly Rotation" on Deadstock? Have fun with it!Monday: Air Max 1 Patch PackFor me, this is clearly one of the strongest Air Max 1 of the last years!I bought the "Sand" and the "Steel Green" at the release, but in the end I only wanted to keep one because I didn't have enough money. the "Sand" was a bit too light for me to be able to use it as a bad weather shoe & so the "Steel Green" stayed & the "Sand" was sold for a little over retail. Tuesday: ASICS Tiger Gel Lyte III Foot Patrol CustomMy only custom so far! I'm usually not a fan of custom shoes, especially colorways copied from previous collabros, but since the Footpatrol Gel Saga is one of my ultimate grails & the "Honey Mustard" Gel Lyte III can be transformed into a Footpatrol inspired shoe with very little work, I asked a friend to do it for me. Wednesday: adidas Originals Tubular Runner All Black Probably one of the most controversial shoes in 2015, for me the Tubular is now one of my favorite silhouettes, which is probably because the Y3 Qasa Hi, from which the Tubular was inspired among other things, is also a bomb shoe in my eyes (ninja and all that...) I'm a big fan of innovation, because without it many of the shoes we love today wouldn't have existed. That's why I think it's great when Adidas and others make the effort to create something new that will hopefully be a classic in 20 years' time, like the Air Max 1 is today, for example.it would be kind of boring if all companies just rested on their archives & relaunched them over time instead of bringing something new to the market from time to time, wouldn't it? We'll see whether the Tubular will still be around in 20 years' time, I certainly hope so and I'm now on my fourth Tubular. Thursday: Nike Air Footscape Desert ChukkaAlmost the only mid shoe in my collection, the Footscape sole is one of my absolute favorites together with the Trinomic sole from Puma & I think I like almost every upper that is sewn or glued onto one of these soles.Funnily enough, I really like the Footscape Magista, for example, but I don't like the Magista with the Free sole at all, and the Footscape Desert Chukka is in my collection in both burgundy and black, both of which I use regularly. Friday: Nike Flyknit Racer Black/GreyCurrently the best summer shoe! The Flyknit Racer, also known as the Doorstop, is an incredibly strong shoe in grey/black as well as multicolor. Many of the colorways, especially the most colorful ones, I personally don't find so great, because the strong contrast of e.g. black & red on the heel usually bothers me, but with this one it's a much weaker contrast, which in my eyes is the icing on the cake that turns this silhouette into a bomb. Saturday: ASICS Gel Saga OGThe only shoe that's older than me!Gel Sagas were my only "passion" for a long time, meaning I hardly bought anything else for a good while. At some point, I thought to myself that I would definitely have to get myself an OG. The "Orange Blaze" was my first Saga and I still like it almost the best of all my shoes, but at some point I came across the Purple OG, which somehow has a similar color blocking to the "Orange Blaze" and I just had to buy it. I just ordered an AM1 HOA from the same seller a few days ago. Sunday: Air Max 95The Assi Botte number one, but somehow not.For a long time one of the ugliest silhouettes for me, the Air Max 95 is now one of my most coveted shoes.Recently at the Sneakerness in Amsterdam I finally found a good colorway for little money in my size & bought it.By the way, a few hours before the photos were taken I got red wine on it, but got it out almost completely as quickly as possible with salt and glass cleaner. That's it for my part, if you liked my photos you can check out my Instagram, write me an email or have a look at my website, which is currently under construction.cheers,Kane Holzmail: kane@knckl.comweb: www.knuckel.cominsta: www.instagr.am/the_knckl_life
