Which sneakers should I take on vacation?

I'm sure you're familiar with this: you're going on vacation. Maybe for two or three weeks. Or perhaps much shorter, as in my case. During this time, you have to choose shoes that are suitable for every occasion. Not so easy in my opinion and always a "first world struggle" of the highest order. :)I'm going on vacation later this week. To the Canary Island of Gran Canaria, where I can expect temperatures of around 25 degrees. At least I hope so, because the weather forecast predicts slightly lower temperatures. Let's see, which brings us to the real problem: My choice of shoes for the vacation. Of course I've already thought about it here and there and chosen a few favorites, but to be honest I'm never really sure when I go away. Even on short trips, I often have the problem that I just don't know what to take with me. Then I repack just before I leave and I'm still not satisfied. For my trip to Gran Canaria, I've shortlisted the following silhouettes so far.

Nike Flyknit Racer

The Nike Flyknit Racer is always an essential summer shoe for me and a loyal companion on all my trips. The Flyknit material is pleasantly breathable and the sneaker is easy to stow away in my suitcase to save space. But which colorway should I take with me? To be honest, the new multicolor is too much of a shame for me, because the sneaker would suffer quite a bit from sun, beach and disco visits. On the other hand, I might be able to take one or two "couple pictures" because my girlfriend also got one from me. The Nike Flyknit Racer Multicolour 1.0 would also work, because the sneaker is already rocking quite well anyway and would of course also be suitable for one or two pictures with my girlfriend. Hmm. Or maybe the black and gray CW? I can wear it on practically anything...and it wouldn't be too bad if it got a little scratched. #decisions

adidas Originals NMD

So, one thing's for sure: I'm definitely taking an NMD with me. It's a must. I currently have the following models on my shortlist: the NMD PK Runner Family & Friends, the NMD City Sock, the OG and the white NMD Chukka. I might wear the City Sock on the flight. At least that's the plan so far. I would also tend to take the NMD Chukka rather than the NMD Runner F&F or the OG. The Chukka is simply my most-worn shoe at the moment and fits into any wardrobe in this beautiful old white colorway. Such an awesome piece and currently one of my "favorite NMD's". I'll leave the two NMD Runner at home then, won't I?

Nike Sock Racer Volt 2003

I only unpack the Nike Sock Racer once or twice a year. The shoe is now 13 years old and, apart from a few open seams, still in good shape. The mix of sandal and running shoe would actually be predestined for this summer vacation, but do I really want to take it with me again this year? My girlfriend doesn't like the Sock Racer at all and the color is just really cool..... on the other hand, why do I care what she thinks of my shoes? :D

Nike Air Presto

Such a Presto would actually be a good thing for vacation. I have several pairs and especially my Hawaiian Sundowner would do really well on Gran Canaria. Alternatively, I would also have the black BR, the Lightning or the new Denim-Presto on offer. What do you think? Denim might be too warm and the Lightning too colorful. So that leaves the BR or the Sundowner!

Adidas Ultra Boost

When it comes to my Ultra Boost models, I would go for the All White, the Cream or the SNS. I would tend to go for the All White, as it simply suits summer best. Besides, a new All White Ultra Boost is coming soon...so the old one can get a bit of a kicking. The Cream and the SNS are just a bit too good for me at the moment. I also think that the wool would be a problem with the Cream. I'm sweating my feet off.

adidas Yeezy 350 Boost Turtle Dove

I've been wearing my Turtle Dove really rarely recently. There are now so many fakes and so few people who recognize the original that it's really no longer fun to wear the sneaker. I would love to take the Turtle Dove with me, but I can imagine that the island is flooded with bad fakes. To be honest, I don't really fancy it. Too bad.

Nike Sock Dart Independence Day All White

My All White Sock Dart is the beater before the master. Easy to clean and, above all, good to wear. The shoe would be perfect for vacations, also because of its rather extravagant design. Would be a good alternative to the All White Ultra Boost, because I definitely need to take something completely white with me. What do you think?

ASICS Tiger / New Balance / leather sneakers in general

My sneakers from ASICS Tiger or New Balance are somehow not so suitable for summer temperatures because of the heavy, thick leather. I had the Premier 998 with me on vacation last year and almost died in the sneaker. I won't make that mistake again this year. I love all my shoes, but only lightweight and breathable shoes go into my suitcase for vacation. Safety first. Of course, I also need the right slippers for my vacation. I have adilettos in different colors but for this trip I prefer to take my Brudiletten with me. I don't let anyone talk me into it anymore. :D They're just ghetto. That's enough for me! :DHo you always have problems like this when you travel? I've noticed something here and there with some people. When bob and I are traveling, we often talk to each other. After all, there's nothing worse than two bloggers wearing the same sneakers. #notclear #alreadyhappenedWhich sneakers would you take on vacation? By the way, I'm planning four pairs - that'll have to do! :)
