PUMA x MCM Limited Edition Collection

I have to admit, when I heard about the upcoming PUMA collaboration, I was quite astonished: to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the PUMA Suede, the traditional brand MCM has actually been acquired, so you can look forward to a reinterpretation of the cult silhouette with a striking MCM monogram. A project that can go hand in hand perfectly for us - especially if you take a closer look at the history behind it. The PUMA Suede first found its way onto store shelves in Mexico in 1968. In the 80s, it was impossible to imagine basketball courts without the sneaker and it made its way onto the streets of the world, not least thanks to former rap artists, while the Visetos Canvas from MCM was also created back in 1976 and quickly became an urban it-piece for fashion fans of the time. MCM has always been more than just the clothes of the jet-set world. Both the PUMA Suede and MCM still stand for hip hop culture today, and the PUMA x MCM Collection will feature a total of three different versions of the PUMA Suede (Classic White, Classic Brown, Red/Blue). Our favorite, however, is clearly the classic brown colorway with monogram print, and the PUMA Suede is accompanied by two outstanding track suits as part of the collaboration, which are the perfect complement to the shoe. In our eyes, the atypical luxury look of the entire range couldn't be more in tune with the times, as we've known for some time that streetwear and high fashion work perfectly together.

The PUMA X MCM Limited Edition collection will be released tomorrow, May 24, at selected retailers such as asphaltgold and MCM directly.
