Puma RS Reinvention - the RS series is back!

If you didn't notice the Puma x Highsnobiety party in Berlin last week, which was organized on the occasion of the reinterpreted RS series, you're either not on social networks or simply have no particular interest in sneakers. ;)To explain:The reason for the event and the subsequent panel talk in the Overkill Shop was the relaunch of the Original Running System (RS) from 1986. The particularly innovative sole technology was first used on the RS-100 and later continued on the RS-350 and RS-0. All three models took the running scene at the time by storm and are now historically important flagship models from the Puma archive. In order to celebrate the return of RS technology, the Puma RS-0 has been reinterpreted in the form of the RS-0 RE-INVENTION and given a comprehensive makeover.

PAST MEETS FUTURE - THE NEW RS-0

With the new RS-0, Puma is of course not trying to conquer running. They don't need to, because the guys are already damn well positioned there. The new RS-0 is more at home in the world of streetwear and therefore comes in a retro-futuristic design that skillfully combines the past and the future.The upper of the Puma RS-0 consists of two different types of leather on the side panels and the mudguard, which is accentuated by a white mesh toebox and the hatched Puma logo. The heel loop makes it easier to get in and out of the shoe, which is really necessary at the beginning with the relatively tight neoprene inner shoe. The embossed leather patch on the tongue of the RS-0 is particularly cool and really makes a statement! In the same breath, Puma also released the RS-100 and the RS-350. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to introduce you to the RS-100 (Overkill Exclusive) in this article, but we still have some great pictures of the RS-350, which we would of course love to show you, and overall the pack is definitely a success, because there is something for everyone. True old-school fans are served with the RS-350 with a real old-school silhouette, while the RS-0 in my eyes should actually appeal to the modern and streetwear-savvy consumer.my favorite of the two models? Clearly the RS-0! But only because I actually prefer to go back to the OG's for real old-school models. In summary, however, you really can't complain about either model, because Puma has once again done a great job. Keep up the good work!
