Last weekend I met up with Johannes ( aka Pangea ) in Cologne to photograph some pieces from the adidas XbyO collection and the new EQT Support 93/17.The XbyO collection was released back in January and illustrates adidas' ambitions to increasingly attack the streetwear segment this year. For this reason, adidas has once again rummaged through the archives and taken inspiration from the company's first own clothing collection. The "adidas Italia" collection was designed back in 1959 (!!!) and was characterized by a cross motif, which you'll find on some of my outfit pictures in a moment. To ensure that the new XbyO collection also has a modern cut, the pattern designer Satomu Nakamura was brought into the team to give the pieces made of "French Terry" fabric a clear line. The entire collection is versatile and straightforward and can be perfectly combined with other items of clothing. In total, there are well over 40 items, which are divided into three different color variants. As Johannes and I don't really have the opportunity to go out and take pictures together very often, I immediately put out two different outfits for our shoot. From my point of view, the first outfit is also the stronger one, simply because it is a bit more colorful. However, you can tell me later which one YOU liked better.the two tops I chose are both from the XbyO collection. I've been wearing the T-shirt in particular - I think I now own it in all colors - a lot over the last few months. The shirt is a bit oversized and boxy. In comparison, the hooded jacket is much more figure-hugging and can be opened from the bottom and top thanks to the full-length zipper. I usually open the zipper a little at the bottom to give the outfit a little extra zing and the Erik jeans from Soulland I bought in Rome just a few weeks ago and are my "statement piece" of the whole outfit due to the bright color. I'm aware that the pants are definitely provocative and will certainly divide opinion. But I just couldn't get away from this color in Rome. I've been wearing a lot of pastel shades lately, but these trousers are the ultimate color in my closet and the adidas EQT Support 93/17 is the perfect sneaker to round off my outfit or both outfits. I think the Turbo Red on the "B-Side" colorway is way cooler than the first drop and the striped toebox looks really great. It's not often that I find the inside of a sneaker more "exciting" than the outside, but it's definitely the case with the new adidas EQT Support 93/17. I had asked in advance in the groups how the 93/17 would turn out and heard a wide variety of opinions. In the end, however, I'm very happy with my normal size and the second outfit, apart from the Palace Shoulder Bag, consists entirely of the XbyO collection and the adidas EQT Support 93/17. I initially wanted to combine the 7/8 trousers with the hooded jacket that day, but it was just far too wet and rainy. The XbyO jogging trousers definitely have a very casual cut. I could easily wear a size M, although I generally always wear L in jogger pants. The fit is then a little tighter and not quite as baggy. If you're not quite sure, you should perhaps take a look at the product videos that adidas now offers in its online shop. By the way, the cross motif, which was taken from the "adidas Italia" collection, is now reflective. adidas is known for constantly improving products from the adidas archives and this is reflected in the XbyO collection and the cap that I'm wearing on both outfits is from last year's EQT collection. It matches the shoes, of course, because as we all know, the devil is in the detail ;-)If you still haven't acquired a taste for it, just take a look at the following pictures. I'm sure you've already seen the links to the products, otherwise here's a complete overview of the entire XbyO collection.Of course, I'm also very keen to hear what you think about both outfits. Praise and sensible criticism are very welcome. So? D
