Nike Free Run 2: Are the 2010s back?

The Nike Free Run 2 will be available from September 9th, 2021. First appearing are the Nike Free Run 2 White and the Nike Free Run 2 Fossil Stone . A black version is also rumored to appear this month.

Sneaker models come and go. Some come back because the community is begging for it and eventually gets lucky. Apparently this time too. Of course we always have one, two or three models in mind. But we really didn't have this return on the screen. Calling all "It" cushioning freaks, the Nike Free Run 2 is making a comeback.

Think back to the 2010s: do you know people who didn't have or didn't want a Nike Free at home? We rather not. Even our parents walked around with the Free's and still do here and there today. The Nike Free series has become an absolute essential and camps of the respective models have formed. You remember 2.0, 3.0 etc. Back then, the runners really became an absolute must-have.

Now the 2 series is coming back, probably the most popular number. In two colors - black and white. The silhouette is actually coming back to the shelves without any changes: the overlay comes in the usual characteristic cage construction of thick suede that wraps over the breathable mesh base. The sole construction and cushioning are coming back just like they did back then. The Swooshes are slightly enlarged, but also on the back of the heel as usual.

We are super surprised and don't quite know how to classify the re-release yet. In any case, the model reminds us of our youth and therefore leaves us slightly agitated.

There is currently no official release date for the Nike Free Run 2. The guys from the release department are responsible for that. But definitely this year and probably for about 100 euros in the usual shops. If you're super into the "cult" cushioning of the 2010s, keep an eye on the release calendar or our free Deadstock app .
