Kendrick Lamar x Nike Cortez DAMN - coming soon

After years of what I consider a very successful collaboration with Reebok, rapper Kendrick Lamar presents us with the Nike Cortez DAMN, his first signature sneaker from Nike.The Nike Cortez was my first guess for a joint collabo between Kendrick and the American sportswear manufacturer, alongside the Air Force 1. The Air Force 1 will be extremely hyped in the coming weeks and somehow I was firmly convinced that we could definitely expect something with the silhouette. It doesn't matter though, because the Cortez is at least as good, if not better.Compared to his previous releases with Reebok, Kendrick's Nike Cortez DAMN no longer relies on acceptance and equality between the rival Bloods and Crips in his hometown of Compton, but in my opinion clearly positions himself with the Bloods with the red colorway. Of course, I may be interpreting the color choice of the model a little differently, but somehow it seems very obvious to me. Apart from that, there's not that much to tell, because real K-Dot fans should know where the inspiration for the DAMN patch on the tongue comes from.
