I first came into contact with the K-SWISS brand at this year's Solemart. Of course I remember the brand from my childhood days and I've probably owned two or three models in my life, but to be honest I hadn't had the brand on my radar for a long time, and we were able to marvel at the OG model of the K-SWISS Si-18 at the Solemart back then. The retro version of the Si-18, which in my opinion is K-SWISS' strongest model along with the Lozan III Ostrich, was not yet available for us bloggers at the convention. Back then, K-SWISS - along with other brands such as Dunlop, Head, Wilson and prince - was one of the "big players" in the tennis sector. K-SWISS is now trying to repeat this success and is launching a new offensive in the sneaker sector with the Si-18, which is not a typical runner, as it simply lacks the streamlined silhouette. But in my opinion, the shoe doesn't need it, because the Si-18 has other advantages. Starting with the double guide for the laces, the various logo applications on the side and tongue, the perforated toebox and the country flags on the heel. The shoe is full of details and subtleties, and I regret to say that I misjudged the size a little. I took the K-SWISS Si-18 in a US12. Unfortunately, the model is very wide, so I could have easily taken half a size smaller. For my part, I'm definitely looking forward to seeing what K-SWISS will be presenting at the next Solemart in January. I've already got my eye on the Si-18 Rannell (the last picture), and hope that I can get my hands on a pair of this model. Let's see where the journey for K-SWISS goes next year, I for one will definitely be watching...
