After the Gel Kayano was released as an EVO, the Gel Lyte III is finally following suit on its 25th birthday.Based on the split-tongue feature of the Gel Lyte III, the Gel-Lyte EVO features a visible gel cushioning element on the heel. Another highlight is the almost seamless upper with a mesh look and welded-on tiger stripes, which to me personally looks like ASICS has simply adapted a running shoe upper to lifestyle products. Whether this will work remains to be seen. In any case, the initial reactions online have been very positive and the sneakers don't look too bad "live" either, starting with the MODERN SIMPLICITY PACK, consisting of four models.
