Asics Gel Lyte V "Midnight Bloom" - latest pickup

Tomorrow is the release of the Asics Gel Lyte V "Midnight Bloom", which some of you have been eagerly awaiting for quite some time, and I've had my pair here for a while now, but never got around to wearing them. Today was the day, and to prepare you at least a little for the release, I naturally packed my camera and there was already a lot of discussion about the collabo between Asics and UBIQ. One side celebrates the shoe, while the other side simply finds the "Midnight Bloom" ugly. After seeing the first pictures, I was also rather unenthusiastic, but then I was lucky enough to see the shoes "live and in color". You can see the result here, because after I saw them for the first time, I just had to buy them - the "Midnight Bloom" looks a bit wild at first. A real coordination between the different shades was not immediately apparent. But when you change the mustard yellow laces, this changes abruptly. The beige laces, which you can also see in my photos, simply go much better with the shoe and form a really cool interplay with the toebox of the same color. The nylon upper was fitted with suede and smooth leather inserts and offers a nice contrast to the very striking midsole of the "Midnight Bloom". This bright tone in particular is a headache for some of you, but I personally really like it. There's something about it, but admittedly I can't say what it is myself... Apart from that, the "Midnight Bloom" naturally has the same elements as all the other Gel Lyte V. There's not really much new to tell, so I'll save myself the time. In terms of quality, I have nothing to complain about with my pair, by the way, as I have other versions of the Gel Lyte V that don't come off so well (Mr. Fieg sends his regards) and unfortunately I can't answer whether it will be particularly difficult to get hold of a pair at the moment. At least I haven't heard of any "camper orgies" so far, so I would definitely try my luck. The prerequisite is, of course, that you are near one of the stores that will receive the item.
