"Air Max Days" at Overkill / 2nd chapter - Air Max light
The Air Max Light, also known as the Air Max II, was unleashed on the sneaker world in 1989, two years after the release of the Air Max 1 in 1987, with success: The Air Max Light was another stroke of genius from Nike, with the additional built-in forefoot cushioning, the two-part sole and the visible Air Bubble.Michael M., Booker at Kinetic Artist Managment, founder of the established "Grounded Theory" event series & according to his own statement, ''...probably equipped with a light to medium sneaker passion'', tells us his story about the Air Max Light. "Air Max Light / Air Max II / Air Max 1989!!!! Why this ! Well - the Light was always an insider's tip in the Air Max range even before its re-release in 2007, and because it hasn't been reissued since the years of its first release and it wasn't so easy to get information and pictures of the Air Max Light in the 90s and early 2000s, it has always retained a certain mystery. But the Light doesn't need to hide, because its shape and the two-part sole, which I really like, especially when the rear part has a contrasting color or changes color, make it a top runner.I really liked the first colorways in 2007, especially the white/red/black, which then as now fits perfectly with the Overkill color theme. The other fresh colorways also did pretty well and some also found their way into my collection. My all-time favorite: Air Max Light Vintage 2011 in both colorways. Everything is just right with these two - the workmanship, the shape, which in my opinion is one of the best Air Max shapes of recent years, and the vintage look."
