adidas ZX 5000 Response - latest pickup

The ZX5000 Response is a shoe that I was really looking forward to. I already became aware of this hybrid during last year's release of the "Run Thru Time" pack, and since then the ZX5000 Response has been one of my (new) favorites from the ZX family.The father of the Response, the ZX5000, was released back in 1984 and is therefore already an "old hand" of the adidas company. The basic idea back then was to design a running shoe that was suitable for runners of all classes. 20 years later, this running shoe has become a lifestyle sneaker that certainly deserves attention on the highly competitive sneaker market. 20 years later, the main reason why I chose this (color) variant of the ZX5000 Response was the mix of different color tones. I particularly liked the rich green accents and the material combination of various smooth leather and suede elements and the beautiful synthetic mesh. This mesh is very similar to the material of the ZX Flux All Black, I even think it's made of the same material, just a little thinner. The adidas logo can be found on the trouser catcher on the heel and an additional plus is the neoprene sockliner inside the shoe. This gimmick supports and stabilizes the foot while running and thus underlines the ambitions of the Response to be a "real" running shoe.the sizing of the ZX5000 Response is a bit tricky. In my opinion, the shoe is "true to size", but the built-in sockliner gives the impression that the shoe runs small, and I can only speak for myself when I say that I took my normal size - which admittedly also fits relatively tightly. I don't think you'll go wrong with a half size up, provided you like it a little looser on your foot. After a few days, the neoprene sockliner stretches considerably and the shoe feels like a normal sneaker. For me, the ZX5000 Response is one of the most celebrated adidas models of recent times and you will agree with me when I say that the shoe cuts a great figure on the foot and really stands out from other running models.
