adidas collaborates with Pharrell Williams

adidas today announces a long-term partnership with Pharrell Williams, the Grammy-winning and Oscar-nominated global star. The first products of the collaboration with Pharrell Williams will be presented in summer 2014, marking the first time adidas has partnered with an artist who owns his own textile company. adidas will collaborate with Pharrell Williams' company "Bionic Yarn".As part of the "Vortex Project" - an initiative launched with "Parley for the Oceans" - plastic waste salvaged from the world's oceans is processed into yarn and used to make clothing. adidas Originals will use this bionic yarn in selected Pharrell Williams products.adidas is therefore bringing the next heavyweight into the boat after Mr West - top or flop?
