adidas Jellyfish Royal - Release in February

The adidas Jellyfish Royal is one of those sneakers that's hard to ignore - and that seems to be part of the plan.

For Pharrell Williams, 2025 went exceptionally well on almost all levels: musically with the comeback of the Clipse, culturally with the return of his Reebok Board Flip and of course in the sneaker cosmos with the adidas Jellyfish, which quickly crept into discussions about the "Sneaker of the Year". While the next silhouette from Pharrell's growing adidas universe is already in the starting blocks with the adidas XLG 2.0, the focus is now back on the Jellyfish itself - more precisely on the new Royal colorway.

The adidas Jellyfish was on display for the first time at ComplexCon in Las Vegas and was also directly available there. Official images of the Royal version have now surfaced, which is a clear sign that a regular release is imminent. The basic design has not changed - and that's a good thing. The Jellyfish remains a futuristic, almost organic silhouette that deliberately plays with contrasts. A technical, rather neutral base meets color-accentuated elements that give the shoe depth and dynamism. In the case of the Royal colorway, the eponymous blue takes center stage and runs through the trim details without overloading the overall look. The design language is still reminiscent of maritime shapes and underlines the maritime character that gives the model its name.

The timing of this release is interesting. Pharrell Williams has hinted several times in recent months that the Jellyfish story is far from over. At public appearances, he has already shown an all-black version as well as a "Tan/Blue" colorway, both of which clearly break away from the previous color scheme. Against this backdrop, the adidas Jellyfish Royal almost looks like the last representative of the original design idea before more experimental and bold versions follow. For many, that's probably what makes this drop so appealing.

Where can I buy the new colorway?

The Pharrell Williams x adidas Jellyfish Royal bears the item number JP9263 and will be released on February 1 via adidas CONFIRMED. The price - as with previous Jellyfish releases - is 300 US euros, which underlines the premium claim of the silhouette.
