eBay Nike SB Dunk - Released on December 17th

*EDIT December 8th, 2022*: The time has come, the legendary eBay Nike SB Dunk is coming on December 17th at Nike via SNKRS. Check the release button for that. On eBay you can bid for 10 limited pairs with a special box. The auction runs until December 14th. But only those who have the necessary (small) money can take part. By the way: For all those who happen to be 9. and December 10th in Portland, Oregon: eBay is opening the "Skate 'Em Out" skate shop for two days. There you can buy the eBay SB Dunk Low Sandy at the retail price of 2003 (!). But: Only buyers who leave the store skating in the new SB Dunk will receive the prize. There have already been some legendary releases in the sneaker world. This definitely includes the eBay Nike SB Dunk. Certainly one of the rarest sneakers ever. In 2003 exactly three pairs were made. One was sold for 26k, one was given to the late Sandy Bodecker when he retired and one was cut into four pieces. For whatever reason. The third shoe serves as a template for the re-release. Many are sure to ask: Who is Sandy Bodecker!? Sandy is the Nike OG. He was at Nike from 1979 - 2008 and worked at probably every division. But his greatest legacy is clear: Nike Skateboarding. He is responsible for the existence of Nike SB. Nike describes himself as the dude who achieved the impossible with two middle fingers raised. Unfortunately he passed away in 2018. Shortly before his death he founded the Bodecker Foundation. With workshops and scholarship programs, the Foundation helps creative young people to realize their artistic and professional dreams.

THIS IS WHAT THE SNEAKER LOOKS LIKE

The SB Dunk Low returns with the same color scheme as the OG. The base is white, the overlays come in the typical eBay colors: red, yellow, blue and green. The OG's update is inspired by the third pair though. The shoe is basically cut apart and connected with a transparent material. Instead of the eBay logo, the heel features the SB branding and Swoosh. The insole shows a picture of Bodecker and his son. Heavy shoe, you have to like it, but the story behind it is cool. EBAY SB DUNK RELEASE DATE

Whether the eBay Nike SB Dunk will actually go on sale remains to be seen. We rather assume that the sneaker will be sold at auction and the proceeds will go to the Bodecker Foundation.
