adidas Adilette 22 - all information about the new silhouette

Summer is getting closer. That means for us: slide season. You know, we are slide ultras and actually take almost everything we can get with us. Yeezy Slides , Crocs Pollex Clogs , Reebok Beatnik , Foam Runner , Birkenstock , bring them on! That's why we naturally prick up our ears when adidas drops a new Adilette. The new Adilette came around the corner quite surprisingly for most people. We've seen them before, but we were quite surprised by the demand. The colourways are sold out almost everywhere. Actually rightly so, because the silhouette looks good. adidas has once again put a little more effort into the design. Instead of a new colourway or a different sole, the whole design is new. But there are also skeptics here and there. Somehow rightly so, because the Adilette looks damn similar to the Yeezy Slide.

THIS IS WHAT THE NEW ADILETTE LOOKS LIKE

The colourways in particular immediately make us think of Kanye and Yeezy. The beige one is called " Desert Sand ", the green one is called " Magic Lime " and here you can find the marbled colourway. However, the design is a little different. The upper comes with a topographical, rippled texture. This gives the Adilette a futuristic 3D print aesthetic. "THE BRAND WITH THE THREE STRIPES" is written on the midsole. A shitstorm accuses adidas of stealing from Yeezy. We see it a little differently. Yeezy clearly sets trends, especially in terms of color, yes. But the Adilette has been around much longer than Yeezy and is basically the mother of the slides. The design is completely different. If a colourway is similar here and there because Kanye simply sets trends, then that's okay.
